Top Box Studios is an Award-Winning Creative Arts Production Company located in the Heart of the West Midlands. Our Arts Academy has been established for over 10 years, delivering tuition and licensed theatre group performances in local theatres. More recently, the company has expanded its services as an examination centre and now provides professional training in Singing, Dancing, Acting & Film, Instrumental, and Music Theory. We also provide Studio Vocal Recording and Engineering, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, and school holiday activities delivered by our in-house team. Students are given opportunities to be entered for Trinity College London and LAMDA examinations in all disciplines alongside the delivery and assessment of Arts Award qualifications.
Top Box Studios Ltd have been appointed as a registered exam centre for Trinity College London and LAMDA Music and Drama Examinations including Music Practical Grade and Certificate exams (Classical and Jazz), Rock & Pop, Music and Drama Diplomas (Trinity ATCL, LTCL, FTCL), Music Theory Grade exams, Music Diplomas in Theory and Composition and Graded Exams in Drama/Musical Theatre.
Theatre Group Rehearsals and Masterclasses are planned by qualified teachers, Arts Award assessors and Sing4Health practitioners. One to One Singing and Piano tuition is also available upon request.
We have an enthusiastic team of tutors who strive to provide a structured and professional experience to all our members, promoting confidence, teamwork, and social skills for life. We also invite visiting professional workshop leaders to offer 'one off' specialist training sessions.

Company Director, Head of Vocal and Instrumental Studies
Tracy Anne Wright
Tracy is the Director of Creative Arts and Principal of Top Box Studios. She has over 25 years’ experience as a qualified Performing Arts and Music Teacher and professional singer. Tracy is a classically trained singer, starting her vocal journey at a young age following a paid scholarship for vocal tuition at the Birmingham Conservatoire. She has performed as a Mezzo Soprano soloist and member of various vocal ensembles providing opportunities to sing in incredible venues including Westminster Abbey, St Pauls and Notre Dame Cathedral. She was extremely proud to be invited as the guest soloist to sing at the Palace Theatre's Centenary Celebration Show. One of her first memories was singing at the local theatre and she takes great pride and pleasure in seeing her students enjoy these opportunities. She is very proud to be working alongside a team of equally passionate and creative individuals who offer diverse, original ideas to all projects, bringing opportunities and experiences to our members. Tracy trained at the Leeds College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire and more recently qualified as a Trinity College London Arts Award assessor and Sing4Health practitioner. Tracy is safeguarding lead at Top Box Studios and is a licensed chaperone.
Head of Acting Studies and Media and Marketing Manager
George has been involved in Performing Arts for over 10 years, taking an interest in roles both on and off stage. He has recently starred as principal roles in We Will Rock You (Galileo), Les Misérables (Jean Valjean). RENT (Mark Cohen) and Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour). Alongside his stage work, he has created an impressive digital portfolio of work including graphic design, photography and videography. In 2019, George was offered a place on the BFI Film Academy Network Programme delivered in partnership with The Company Yamination Studios and Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham. The week concluded with the production of a short film which was devised, scripted, produced and filmed by students from the Academy. Most recently George has directed and produced his first short film, English Rose, which was made in association with Top Box and released in October 2023. He was awarded ‘Best First-Time Filmmaker’ from the Stratford-upon-Avon Film Festival for English Rose. He is looking forward to his next film project. George is able to inspire young film makers and is currently is our lead tutor for the Acting and Film master class. He is looking forward to working alongside the Top Box Creative Team in future projects and being more involved in producing and directing within the company. George is also our studio photographer and a licensed chaperone.
Head of Dance Studies and Children's Licensing Manager
Georgie has numerous years worth of experience teaching performing arts and has worked with Tracy at Top Box (formerly Vocalize) since 2016. She is also an experienced choreographer whose recent work has included RENT!, Nativity!, Little Shop of Horrors and School of Rock. Georgie has also co-directed and choreographed for Six: Teen Edition, Frozen JR and Oliver! She has completed numerous dance grades with IDTA achieving up to and including intermediate ballet, modern, tap & theatre craft. Georgie has danced alongside a number of industry professional including Pasha Kovalev from Strictly Come Dancing and performed in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth games handover ceremony. Georgie also has a love for singing and has achieved up to and including grade 8 singing. She now enjoys teaching private one to one lessons and watching students grow in confidence each week. Georgie is our registered first aider and is also a licensed chaperone. She also coordinates the children’s licensing for our shows to ensure all relevant legislation is being complied with and the children are performing in a safe and protected environment. Georgie is excited to be working as part of the Top Box Creative Team on all our upcoming projects and can’t wait to help bring a wide range of opportunities to our members.
Creative Arts Team
Safeguarding and Administration Assistant
Paula currently supports young people and families within Warwickshire. She has many years worth of experience working as a safeguard lead and educational welfare officer in Worcestershire and Warwickshire schools. As Tracy’s sister she has been part of her journey and proudly watched the growth of Vocalize and Top Box over the years. She shares the team’s passion for inspiring young people and creating opportunities for them to be the best versions of themselves they can be. Working closely with children with special educational needs she understands the importance of enabling children to be themselves and creating a safe place for each child to feel confident to express themselves. Paula is excited to join the team to support the management team with all aspects of child protection and administration.
Recording Engineer and Producer
Rehearsal Assistant and Licensed Chaperone
Mark offers support in during rehearsals and is also one of Top Box’s licensed chaperones. He started teaching confidence and how to command an audience at his local dance school and now helps performers develop their performance skills and stagecraft. During lockdown Mark taught singing lessons on zoom to 5-16 year olds. Mark has been a member of a Male Voice Choir and a soloist for 10 years, singing first tenor. He also continues with his work as a coach for self belief and confidence on stage. Mark is an experienced chaperone and has worked for a number of large companies and events. He has chaperoned for the Commonwealth games, Birmingham Rep, BBC for various productions, English Youth Ballet, Bangra Nation, Wolverhampton Grand theatre, ITV television, local school productions, That's showbiz, NEC young voices and of course Top Box Studios! Mark really enjoys working with members to help make singers into performers!
Tom has been performing in musicals since the age of 18. He has played the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet, Mr Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Mr. Poppy in Nativity! The Musical, Fagin and Bill Sykes in Oliver. Tom has also been involved in film work and has appeared as an extra in Sherlock Holmes and the TV series Shameless. He most recently starred in ‘English Rose’ as the lead character. Tom has been involved with Top Box on and off for 7 years and now offers support during our Youth and Teen company rehearsals. He is looking forward to what the future holds for this fantastic team.
Paula provides support during rehearsals and during show weeks across our groups. Paula has achieved grade 8 in rock and pop vocals and grade 6 musical theatre. She also studied at the BIMM Academy in Manchester where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Musicianship in vocals. Paula continued her studies completing a primary PGCE. Paula has been a member of Vocalize since she was 9 and performed in Legally Blonde, Hairspray and Back to the 80s. She has returned to the company as an adult and has been part of the Theatre Company. She has most recently been in Little Shop of Horrors and played Bet in Oliver!
Creative Arts Tutor, Vocal Coach
Lucy has had a love for performing arts from a very young age and has always been involved in local theatre groups. She continued to study Performing Arts whilst in school under the tuition of Tracy Wright. After leaving education Lucy joined the Vocalize team and has been a tutor for the past 6 years working on shows such as; The Addams Family, High School Musical, The Wizard of Oz and many more! Lucy’s love for performing has led her to take part in many productions around Redditch including: Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Songs for a New World, Sister Act, White Christmas and Cats. Most recently Lucy played the role of Joanne in Top Box’s performance of RENT! Lucy believes that she wouldn’t be the person she is today without local theatre groups like Top Box and is always so grateful to work alongside the incredible Top Box Team!
Junior Rehearsal Assistant
Bizzy has been part of Top Box/Vocalize for 12 years. She has performed in a number of their shows, playing both leading and supporting roles. Most recently she has played Catherine Parr in Six:Teen Edition and Elsa in Frozen JR. She has received vocal training from our very own Musical Director Tracy from a very young age. Bizzy is currently in her last year of school and will be going to college to study performing arts in September where she hopes to build on the skills she has already developed. Bizzy loves watching younger members grow and develop in confidence and is so grateful to be a part of their journey. She can’t wait to see what the future holds for Top Box.
Junior Rehearsal Assistant
Grace has been a member of Top Box since she was around 6 years old. She has performed as part of Vocalize our Youth Theatre Company in Hairspray (company ensemble), High School Musical (company ensemble), Addams Family (Wednesday), School of Rock (company ensemble), Six: Teen Edition (Anna of Cleeves), Frozen JR (Anna) and many more. She has also completed a number of singing exams in musical theatre and rock and pop. Grace works as our Tots assistant and loves being able to share her love for performing with the younger generation. Grace loves seeing Top Box grow and is grateful for the many memories it has created. She enjoys getting to share her love of performing to other people and watching them grow and improve.
